Amelie Moretti, Senior SBC advisor
Amelie is our Senior SBC Specialist at MAGENTA. As a highly-skilled researcher and team lead with 15 years' experience working in complex development and humanitarian settings, Amelie is dedicated to understanding and addressing the underlying drivers of human behaviours through behavioural research and transformative programming. She has worked as a Project Manager on Protection Programmes with the foreign services and INGOs, the led on Gender, Human Rights, Protection and Capacity Building programmes with the United Nations and local CBOs.
At MAGENTA, Amelie has been leading on various projects across key thematic areas such as transforming harmful gender norms (Iraq, Syria, Mali and Zanzibar), women’s and girls’ empowerment (Mali and India), Education in Emergency (Syria), the Rule of Law (Afghanistan) and Mine Action (Mali). As one of MAGENTA's master trainers, Amelie has designed and delivered skills building programmes and co-design workshops across Asia, Africa and the Middle East, with a focus on rendering complex SBC concepts and framework accessible to various audiences.
Amelie holds a Master's in International Affairs from Sciences Po, Paris, a Master's in Humanitarian and Human Rights Law from Paris Pantheon Assas, as well as the GenderPro Certificate from George Washington University. She speaks fluent French and English and basic Arabic.
