Clemence Quint, Chief Operations Officer
Clemence is co-founder and COO of MAGENTA. Clemence founded MAGENTA to maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of communications interventions in support of social impact.
From 2014 to 2017 Clemence lived and worked in Kabul, leading a strategic communications firm, where she led the development of strategic communication initiatives. There she saw first-hand the impact of science-led, rigorous interventions on major developmental issues – from polio vaccinations to girls’ education.
Driven by the belief that recent leaps in behavioural science should not be restricted to policy-making in the West, Clemence co-founded MAGENTA to bring these insights to bear on the major development challenges of our age. She worked closely with UNICEF Lebanon to design and rollout the “Qudwa” programme: the first of its kind SBC intervention to prevent violence against girls, boys and women – over 600 SBC interventions have so far been implemented by civil society and NGO under the flagship programme. She set up MAGENTA's office in Tunisia, where she has worked closely with the government to improve early childhood outcomes, piloting innovative interventions in four provinces and training 65 early childhood professionals.
When not spending time in MAGENTA’s offices in Amman, Erbil, Tunis or Mexico City, Clemence lives in Marseille, where she enjoys sailing. She holds a Master’s in International Relations with a concentration in Conflict and Development Studies from Sciences Po Lille. She has previously worked at the French embassy in Beirut, Save the Children in Lebanon, and ACTED in Paris. She is a UNHCR-appointed judge at the French asylum appeals court.
