Hanul Choi, SBC Interventions Intern

Hanul is our SBC Intervention Intern. She supports programme and knowledge management to the Africa team with her strong background on improving quality of life and strengthening health systems in Sub-Saharan Africa. Her experience spans research and project management with a strong focus on reproductive health, fostering healthcare access for all, and gender equality at local and national levels. 

Hanul has worked on projects funded by USAID, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Swedish Embassy, addressing key issues such as digital health innovations and developing strategic frameworks for health equity. As a researcher, she is adept in employing both quantitative and qualitative tools to evaluate behavioural change. Her notable projects include a mixed-method study on cervical cancer screening stigma among vulnerable women in Western Kenya and a qualitative study on private-public partnerships in Zimbabwe.

Hanul holds a Bachelor's degree in Global Health and International Comparative Studies from Duke University and is currently pursuing a Master's in international governance and diplomacy at Sciences Po. She is fluent in Korean and English and has working proficiency of French.
