Maya Radwan, Research Intern

Maya is a Behavioral Research Intern at MAGENTA, based in Tunis. She supports the MAGENTA Lab’s research methodologies and project assessments, including monitoring and evaluation.

Maya brings experience from projects focused on social cohesion, migration, and displacement, gained through internships with various NGOs and think tanks in the US and the MENA region. She has contributed to hate crime prevention, religious literacy training, and interfaith engagement initiatives at the Aspen Institute. In NYC, she worked on educational equity for marginalized youth and mentored refugee youth with the IRC. Maya continued her refugee advocacy in Jordan at the Collateral Repair Project, supporting grants and partnerships to enhance refugee psychosocial well-being and economic empowerment.

Maya holds a BA in Psychology and a certificate in International Relations and Diplomacy from LIU-Brooklyn. She is a Jeannette K. Watson Fellow and an Ibrahim Scholar. She speaks English, intermediate Arabic, and basic Spanish.
