Valentina Bollenback, Regional Programme Director
Valentina is MAGENTA's Regional Programme Director for Asia. She is a media and strategic communications expert with over 12 years' experience working with the UN, INGOs and various governments. With a particular focus on development and humanitarian issues, Valentina has supported organisations and governments on a range of programmes including behaviour change campaigns, media handling and crisis communications. She has worked in a wide-range of emergency contexts in senior roles that cut across the campaigns, communications, information-management, PR and media functions.
As our Asia team lead, Valentina manages and coordinates behaviour change campaigns from concept to implementation across the region. including . She has spearheaded strategic communications assignments in Myanmar, Indonesia, Philippines, Nepal, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and India and provides advisory support to the development of content in a wide variety of other contexts. As a MAGENTA master trainer, Valentina leads on designing and delierving SBC capacity building and skills development training to actors in governments, local and international NGOs, development agencies, and the private sector.
Valentina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History of Africa and the Middle East from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. She speaks English, Italian, and French.
